Goals of Treatment
I have worked in the addictions field for over 6 years. I offer individual therapy and substance abuse education. My treatment approach is based on abstinence and "harm reduction" principles and utilizes evidence-based treatment modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing. The goal is to accomplish significant progress and relief and take back control of your life. We will address impairment in behavioral control, dealing with cravings, recognizing problems in one's behaviors and interpersonal relationships, and learn to deal more effectively with emotional responses.
What to Expect
To determine if you are appropriate for individual therapy, a comprehensive clinical assessment will be administered. The assessment is an intensive clinical and functional face-to-face evaluation that results in a recommendation for treatment, if appropriate. If I feel you are not appropriate at an outpatient level of care, I will provide you with a referral and assist with coordination of care.
